Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Telouet kasbah - Ait ben haddou kasbah - Studio of cinema - Ouarzazate
Our journey commences with an exhilarating drive from Marrakech, traversing the majestic High Atlas Mountains. As we ascend through winding mountain passes. We're treated to breathtaking vistas of rugged peaks and verdant valleys, with traditional Berber villages clinging to the mountainsides.
Our first stop is the historic Kasbah of Telouet. A hidden gem nestled in the mountains and once the lavish residence of the powerful Glaoui family. Here, we'll explore the labyrinthine corridors and ornate rooms of this ancient fortress. Marvelling at its intricate tilework and stately towers.
Continuing our journey, we arrive at the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. A UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco's most well-preserved kasbahs. We'll wander through the maze-like alleys of this ancient mud-brick village. Soaking in the atmosphere of a bygone era and admiring the stunning views of the surrounding desert landscape.
Next, we'll visit the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate. Often referred to as the "Hollywood of Morocco," where numerous blockbuster movies and TV shows have been filmed. We'll take a behind-the-scenes tour of the studios. Gaining insight into Morocco's thriving film industry and perhaps even catching a glimpse of iconic movie sets.
In the evening, we'll settle into our accommodations in Ouarzazate. Reflecting on the day's adventures and eagerly anticipating the experiences that await us in the days ahead.
Day 2: Taourirt kasbah - Skoura - Kelaat Mgouna - Dades gorges
Our adventure continues as we depart Ouarzazate and set out to explore more of Morocco's enchanting landscapes and cultural treasures.
Our first stop of the day is the Taourirt Kasbah. An impressive fortified residence that once served as the seat of the Glaoui dynasty. As we wander through its labyrinthine corridors and intricately decorated rooms. We'll marvel at the architectural splendor and rich history of this ancient palace.
Next, we journey to the oasis town of Skoura, home to the stunning Kasbah Amridil. Surrounded by lush palm groves and fertile fields. This well-preserved kasbah is a testament to Morocco's traditional earthen architecture and agricultural heritage. We'll take a leisurely stroll through its manicured gardens and learn about the daily life of the inhabitants who have called this oasis home for generations.
Continuing on, we make our way to Kelaat Mgouna, also known as the "Valley of Roses," famous for its fragrant rose gardens and traditional rose water production. Here, we'll have the opportunity to visit a local cooperative and learn about the centuries-old tradition of rose cultivation in the region.
We arrive at the breathtaking Dades Gorges, where towering cliffs and winding river valleys create a dramatic backdrop. We'll settle into our accommodations for the night. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the gorges, and savor a delicious dinner under the starry sky, reflecting on the day's adventures and eagerly anticipating the experiences that await us tomorrow.
Day 3: Boumalne - Tinghir - Todra gorges - Tinjdad - Erfoud - Merzouga
Our journey through Morocco's mesmerizing landscapes continues as we depart from the Dades Gorges. And venture towards the captivating desert oasis of Merzouga.
Our first destination is the town of Boumalne. Where we'll take in the scenic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains before continuing our drive towards Tinghir. Here, we'll be awe-struck by the majestic beauty of the Todra Gorges. Where sheer cliffs rise dramatically on either side of a narrow canyon. We'll have the opportunity to stroll along the riverbanks and admire the towering rock formations. Soaking in the tranquility of this natural wonder.
Next, we'll make our way to the charming town of Tinjdad. Where we can enjoy a leisurely lunch and take in the local sights before continuing our journey to Erfoud. Known for its rich fossil deposits and ancient history, Erfoud offers a glimpse into Morocco's geological heritage. We may have the chance to visit a local fossil workshop and learn about the fascinating process of fossil extraction and craftsmanship.
Merouga desert
As we approach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Our anticipation builds for the highlight of our journey – a camel ride into the dunes of the Erg Chebbi. With the sun setting on the horizon. We'll mount our camels and take an unforgettable trek through the golden sands, guided by the rhythmic footsteps of our trusty camels.
As darkness falls, we'll arrive at our desert camp nestled amidst the dunes. Where we'll be welcomed with traditional Moroccan hospitality. Underneath a canopy of stars, we'll gather around a crackling campfire, enjoy a delicious dinner of local cuisine, and immerse ourselves in the magic of the desert night. With the soft sands beneath us and the vast expanse of the Sahara stretching out before us, we'll drift off to sleep under the twinkling desert sky, cherishing the memories of this extraordinary day.
Day 4: Rissani - Ziz valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes
Our adventure begins as we depart from Merzouga and make our way to Rissani, a bustling market town that is considered the economic heart of the Tafilalt region. Here, we'll have the opportunity to explore the traditionnel souk and perhaps pick up some souvenirs or local handicrafts.
Continuing on, we'll traverse the stunning Ziz Valley, where lush palm groves and verdant oases contrast with the arid desert landscape. As we wind our way through the valley, we'll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making several stops along the way to soak in the natural beauty and capture some unforgettable photos.
Next, we'll pass through the charming towns of Midelt, Azrou, and Ifrane, each offering its own unique blend of culture, history, and natural beauty. In Ifrane "Caves in Amazigh language" know for its alpine architecture and pristine surroundings, we'll take a leisurely stroll through the town's lush parks and gardens, enjoying the cool mountain air and picturesque scenery.
Finally, as the sun begins to set, we'll arrive in Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco. Here, we'll check into our Riad and unwind after a day of exploration, eagerly anticipating the adventures that await us in this historic city.
Day 5: Fes tour guided
Today is dedicated to exploring the cultural and historical riches of Fes, one of Morocco's oldest and most fascinating cities. We'll start a guided tour through the labyrinthine streets of the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world.
Our expert guide will lead us through the bustling souks, where artisans and traders have plied their trades for centuries, offering everything from spices and textiles to ceramics and leather goods. We'll immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the souks, haggling with vendors and sampling local delicacies as we go.
Next, we'll visit the iconic Al-Attarine Madrasa, an architectural masterpiece adorned with intricate tilework and carved woodwork, and the nearby Bou Inania Madrasa, known for its stunning courtyard and elaborate stucco decorations.
We'll also explore the historic Jewish Quarter, home to the oldest functioning synagogue in Morocco, and the scenic Andalusian Quarter, with its narrow alleyways and charming architecture.

Day 6: Fes to Meknes - Rabat - Marrakech
We start our day by departing from Fes and making our way to Meknes, another of Morocco's imperial cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, we'll explore the grandeur of the Bab Mansour gate, visit the intricate Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and wander through the bustling streets of the medina, taking in the sights and sounds of this historic city.
From Meknes, we continue on to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. Here, we'll visit the majestic Hassan Tower and the nearby Mausoleum of Mohammed V, paying homage to the revered leaders of Morocco's past. We'll also explore the picturesque Kasbah des Oudaias, with its whitewashed buildings and stunning ocean views.
