Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountians – Ait ben haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Boumalne Dades

The first day of our 4 Days From Marrakech to the majestic dunes of Merzouga. Promises total immersion in the natural and cultural splendors of Morocco. Departing from Marrakech, we begin our journey to the Dades Valley. A region renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and rich Berber heritage.

The road that takes us through the majestic Atlas Mountains is a true experience in itself. With its winding turns offering breathtaking panoramas. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to discover traditional Berber villages. Where time seems to have stood still, and to admire the ancestral construction techniques that have survived through the centuries. Our first stop takes us to Ait Ben Haddou, a historic kasbah listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perched on a hill and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. This iconic site transports us into the fascinating history of Morocco, with its narrow streets, watchtowers and adobe houses.

After exploring Ait Ben Haddou and enjoying a delicious Berber meal, we take the road towards the Dades valley. We will visit the kasbah of Amridil. Then we will follow the Dades valley to reach the gorges where we will spend the night in accommodation comfortable. As the sun sets, we can soak up the tranquility and beauty of the valley, while preparing for the rest of our adventure through the enchanting landscapes of Morocco.

Day 2: Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges – the Sahara desert of Merzouga

The second day of our journey offers us a thrilling exploration of the spectacular desert landscapes of southern Morocco. After a delicious breakfast in our accommodation in the Dades Valley. We hit the road again towards Merzouga, a sandy oasis nestled at the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Along the way, we'll make a must-see stop at the Todra Gorge. An impressive gorge where limestone cliffs rise vertically on either side, creating a narrow and spectacular canyon. We will have the opportunity to stroll along the river bed and admire the raw beauty of this remarkable natural site.

After exploring the Todra Gorges, our journey continues towards Merzouga, we will pass through Tinjdad, and Erfoud. Here we will visit the fossils, then we continue towards the desert of Merzouga. Where we will be welcomed by the vast sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, we will exchange our vehicles for camels. And take a magical excursion through the golden dunes of the desert. As the sun sets over the horizon, we will witness a dazzling display of colors, before returning to our traditional Berber camp for the night.

Under a twinkling starry sky, we will sit comfortably around the campfire, listening to the stories of local nomads and enjoying a delicious, lovingly prepared Berber meal. This night in the desert will be an unforgettable experience, allowing us to connect with nature and experience the magic of the Sahara in all its splendor.

Day 3: Merzouga desert

The third day of our adventure in the Merzouga desert brings us a day filled with exploration and adventure in the heart of the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After enjoying a traditional Berber breakfast, we prepare for a day full of discoveries.

We begin with a meeting with the desert nomads, who warmly welcome us into their traditional way of life. We will have the opportunity to learn more about their customs, their culture and their way of subsistence in this hostile but magnificent environment.

Then we embark on an exciting 4x4 excursion through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Led by experienced local guides, we slide down sandy ridges, discover hidden oases and admire the breathtaking panoramas that await us as far as the eye can see.

For those looking for an extra dose of adrenaline, a sandboarding session is also on the agenda. Armed with our boards, we slide down the sand dunes, feeling the pure excitement of hurtling down the sand slopes and feeling the desert wind in our hair.

At the end of the day, we return to our Berber camp, where we enjoy a delicious meal prepared with fresh local ingredients. Under a sparkling starry sky, we share stories and laughs around the campfire, savoring every moment of this unique experience in the Merzouga desert.

Day 4: Merzouga - Draa valleyDraa valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

On the last day of our journey through the Merzouga desert, we prepare to say goodbye to this magical landscape and begin our journey back to Marrakech. After a last breakfast in our Berber camp, we hit the road again towards the “Red City”.

The return journey still holds moments of discovery and wonder as we cross the Draa Valley, a region renowned for its spectacular desert landscapes, green oases and traditional villages. We will make strategic stops to admire the panoramic views of the valley, to take memorable photos and to enjoy the tranquility of the desert one last time.

Along the way, we might also have the opportunity to visit picturesque Berber villages, explore historic kasbahs or taste local specialties in traditional restaurants.

Finally, at the end of the day, we will reach Marrakech, where our trip will end. As we part ways, we take with us unforgettable memories of our desert adventure, as well as the feeling of gratitude for having had the opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of Morocco in all its splendor. Whether it is the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, the impressive gorges of Todra or the picturesque Berber villages, every moment of this trip will be etched in our memory forever.
