Day 1: Fes to Merzouga
Departing from Fes, we set off on our journey to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. En route, we pass through picturesque towns and stunning landscapes, including the Middle Atlas Mountains and lush palm groves. Arriving in Merzouga, you go for a camel ride to the camp. Admire the sunset, then settle into your camp and prepare for an evening under the starry desert sky.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert Experience
Get up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara Desert. Today is dedicated to exploring the vast expanses of the desert. With activities including camel treks across the golden sands, visits to nomadic Berber families, and perhaps even an attempt at go sandboarding on the dunes. As night falls, we gather around a campfire to listen to traditional music and a delicious dinner under the stars before retiring to our desert camp for the night.
Day 3: Merzouga to Zagora
Leaving Merzouga behind, we continue our journey towards Zagora, passing rugged desert landscapes and charming desert towns along the way. Zagora is known for its stunning views of the Draa Valley and its historic kasbahs. Offering a glimpse into Morocco's rich history and culture. On arrival, we explore the city and its surroundings before settling in for the evening.
Day 4: Zagora to Marrakech
Our adventure continues as we head from Zagora to Marrakech, crossing the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains. On the way, we stop in Ouarzazate to see the kasbah#taourirt and the cinema studios, continuing towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site, famous for its ancient kasbah and its picturesque landscapes. After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we head towards Marrakech, where we arrive in the evening and settle into our Riad.
Day 5: Exploring Marrakech
Today is dedicated to exploring the bustling city of Marrakech, known for its bustling souks, historical monuments and lively atmosphere. We visit iconic sites such as the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the serene Majorelle Gardens and the intricate architecture of the Bahia Palace. With free time in the afternoon, we have the opportunity to shop for souvenirs, taste delicious Moroccan cuisine, or simply soak up the city's lively ambiance.
Day 6: Excursion to Essaouira
Today we take a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech for an excursion to Essaouira, a charming coastal town located along the Atlantic coast of Morocco. After breakfast, we drive through the picturesque landscapes of the Moroccan countryside, passing argan fields and traditional villages en route to Essaouira.
Upon arrival, we will be greeted by the dazzling white walls of the UNESCO-listed Essaouira Medina. We will spend the day exploring this magnificent city, strolling the winding streets of the medina, discovering its colorful souks and talented artisans, and admiring the panoramic views from the city walls. Essaouira is also famous for its golden sandy beaches, and we have the opportunity to relax by the sea or participate in water activities like surfing or windsurfing.
We'll stop for lunch at one of the city's many quaint restaurants, tasting fresh seafood dishes and local specialties while enjoying Essaouira's relaxed, maritime atmosphere. After lunch, we have free time to explore more of the town at our own pace, perhaps visiting the bustling harbor to watch the fishermen unload their catch of the day, or strolling along the quays to admire the traditional blue and white boats. whites.
Late in the afternoon, we hit the road back to Marrakech, taking with us unforgettable memories of our day in Essaouira and the timeless beauty of the Moroccan coast.
Day 7: Departure from Marrakech
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Marrakech and transfer to the airport for the rest of our trip.
